Students will learn how to:

  • Recall the purpose of each literary technique
  • Edit a piece of writing by applying the literary techniques learnt to improve it

Session 2

Students will learn how to:

  • Edit a piece of writing by applying the literary techniques learnt to improve it
  • Develop relevant ideas for the given pictures/theme
  • Use at least three literary techniques learnt in their writing

Session 3

Students will learn how to:

  • Identify the literary techniques learnt in a piece of writing
  • Edit a piece of writing by applying the literary techniques learnt to improve it
  • Use at least three literary techniques learnt in their writing

Session 4

Students will learn how to:

  • Identify the features of a diary entry, a narrative story and a formal letter
  • Apply the appropriate features of a diary entry, a narrative story or a formal letter in their writing

Session 5

Students will learn how to:

  • Identify the differences between a diary entry, a narrative story and a formal letter
  • Use at least three literary techniques learnt in their writing

Session 6

Students will learn how to:

  • Identify the writer, audience, purpose and context in a given task
  • Use the appropriate register, tone and vocabulary to address a written task
